First launch & setup
- On first launch the app seeds the exercise library — no account or download needed. It works fully offline.
- Onboarding ends one of two ways: Build my plan creates a scheduled weekly plan and routines; Explore on my own drops you straight into logging.
- Training focus, days per week, experience, and available equipment shape generated plans and how sessions are judged.
- Optional calibration lifts give accurate starting weights for movements you haven't logged.
- Health, notifications, and location permissions are optional and only requested when they're useful.

Deciding what's next
- Today shows the next planned workout — tap it to start preloaded.
- The Plan tab holds your weekly schedule (a routine per weekday), the routine editor (exercises, target sets, rep ranges, rest, order, supersets), and Build me a plan.
- Plan generation uses your goal, days, experience, equipment, history, and an avoid list — every prescribed weight shows its reasoning.
- The week resets Monday; a missed-day policy decides whether a skipped session carries over.
More: how it compares
From start to finish
- Start from Today: today's plan, next up, an instant session, cardio, or from scratch.
- Sets pre-fill from the plan and your last session. Adjust weight or reps, mark warm-ups, log effort (RIR/RPE), add notes, and swap or reorder exercises mid-workout.
- The rest timer starts automatically after each logged set.
- Finish to get a session recap and an honest verdict measured against your own history.
Run it from your wrist
- The watch runs the whole session standalone — dial reps with the Digital Crown, one tap to log, a rest ring, and per-set heart rate.
- It works without the phone; sessions queue and sync automatically when you're back in range. The phone is the hub.
- Workouts save to Apple Health with heart rate and Activity-ring credit when permission is granted.

Reading your progress
- History interleaves strength and cardio on one timeline.
- The strength view shows your estimated 1RM trend, recent PRs, and stall flags — lifts whose e1RM peaked several sessions ago.
- The MyoMap heatmap shows weekly working sets per muscle against an evidence-based band, so undertrained groups stand out.
- Week in Review sums sets, tonnage, plan adherence, PRs, and where to focus next.

Bring your history, take it anywhere
- Import CSVs from Strong and Hevy (Settings → Import). Review the proposed exercise matches, create custom exercises for anything unmatched, and skip rows you don't want.
- Units are preserved losslessly — a 100 kg set stays 100 kg.
- Export your workouts and cardio as CSV anytime (Settings → Data).

Backup, devices & Health
- Cloud sync is optional. Sign in to back up and sync across iPhone, Apple Watch, and the web app.
- Apple Health imports your cardio and reads bodyweight; strength sessions can write back as workouts. Fix access in iOS Settings → Health if a prompt was denied.
- Deleting your account removes synced server data; deleting the app removes local device data.

Connect your assistant
- Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client to your real training history — step-by-step setup per client lives in the connection guide.
- It can read your workouts, PRs, and volume, and (with Pro) write routines, plans, and logged sets. Every call is scoped to your account.
- Disconnect anytime from the client's connector settings, or revoke the API key you issued at api.myoamigo.com/connect.
More: the MCP server · why it matters
Yours, by default
- Local-first: the app works on-device and offline. No ads, no third-party trackers.
- Your training data is never sold and never used to train AI models. Sync stores only your data, scoped to your account.

Common questions.
Do I need an account to use MyoAmigo?
No. The app works on-device and offline. An account is only needed for cloud sync, the web app, and the AI coach.
Why doesn't Today show a workout?
Usually there's no active weekly plan, today is a rest day, or the planned routine was already completed. Start an instant session from Today, or build a plan from the Plan tab.
My Apple Watch session hasn't synced — what do I do?
Keep both apps installed and the devices near each other. Watch sessions queue and deliver automatically; the pending status clears once the phone merges the workout.
Why are my imported exercises asking for review?
CSV exports use the old app's exercise names. MyoAmigo proposes catalog matches, but ambiguous names need a quick choice so PRs and future targets attach to the right movement.
How do I connect Claude, ChatGPT, or another AI?
Open the connection guide and pick your client — most do a one-click browser sign-in; headless clients use a personal API key. The endpoint is https://api.myoamigo.com/mcp.
What's free, and what needs Pro?
Logging, syncing, imports, and keeping your full history are free forever. The intelligence layer — stall detection, strength standards, full trends, and writing data via the AI coach — is MyoAmigo Pro.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. Settings has CSV exports for workouts and cardio. Account deletion removes synced server data; deleting the app removes local device data.
