MyoAmigo Privacy Policy

MyoAmigo ("the app", "we", "us") is a workout tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch published by Verbari LLC. This policy explains what data MyoAmigo handles, why, and the choices you have. It is written to be honest and specific — there is no advertising, no tracking, and no selling of your data.

The short version

• MyoAmigo works fully on-device. You can use it without an account.
• If you create an account, your training data syncs to our own servers so it's available across your devices.
• We collect no advertising identifiers, run no third-party analytics, and use no tracking SDKs.
• We never use your Apple Health data for advertising, and we never share it with third parties.
• You can delete your account and all associated server data at any time.

Data we handle

Account information. If you create an account, we store the email address you sign up with and an optional display name. These identify your account and are required for cross-device sync.

Your training data. When you're signed in, the following sync to our servers so they stay consistent across your devices: strength workouts (exercises, sets, weights, reps, rest times), routines, cardio activities (type, distance, duration, your notes), body metrics you enter, and your app settings (unit preference, accent color, biological sex used for strength standards).

Apple Health data. With your permission, MyoAmigo reads the following from Apple Health:

• Bodyweight and height — read live, on demand, to pre-fill fields and show strength standards. These are never stored by MyoAmigo and never synced to our servers — Apple Health remains the source of truth.
• Biological sex — read once to calibrate strength standards. The setting value (male/female) is synced as part of your preferences; the underlying Health record is not.
• Cardio workouts (runs, rides, swims) — imported so they appear alongside your strength training. The summarized activity (type, distance, duration) is stored and synced; raw Health metadata is not.

MyoAmigo also writes completed strength sessions back to Apple Health as workouts — but only when no paired Apple Watch is recording them — so they appear in the Fitness app and count toward your Activity rings. In accordance with Apple's requirements, Health data is never used for advertising or marketing and is never shared with third parties or data brokers.

What we do not collect

• No advertising identifiers (IDFA) and no use of App Tracking Transparency.
• No third-party analytics, crash-reporting, or marketing SDKs (no Google, Facebook, Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, etc.).
• No location data.
• No contacts, photos, or microphone access.

How your data is stored and secured

If you create an account, your synced data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure in the United States, under our control. All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Authentication is handled by an email/password sign-in; your session token is stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device, and short-lived access tokens expire automatically.

AI and agent access

MyoAmigo's backend includes an authenticated interface that lets an AI coaching agent access your own training data on your behalf (for example, to summarize your progress or suggest a routine) when you ask it to. This access is gated by your account authentication. Your data is not used to train AI models, and it is not sold or shared with third parties.

Data retention and your choices

• Sync is optional. Without an account, your data never leaves your device.
• Deletion. Signing out clears your credentials from the device. To delete your account and all associated server data, contact us at the address below; we will delete it.
• Health permissions. You can review or revoke MyoAmigo's access to Apple Health at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health.
• Expired authentication tokens are deleted automatically by the server.

Children

MyoAmigo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
