Primary muscles: Quadriceps

Secondary muscles: Adductors, Glutes, Hamstrings

How to do it

  1. Stand with your feet about shoulder width apart. You can place your hands behind your head. This will be your starting position.
  2. Begin the movement by bending your knees and hips, sitting your hips back.
  3. Continue down to full depth if you are able, then reverse the motion until you return to the starting position. As you squat, keep your head and chest up and push your knees out.

Track it with MyoAmigo

MyoAmigo pre-fills every set of the Bodyweight Squat from last time, charts your estimated 1RM trend so you can see strength move without testing a true max, and flags a stall with a concrete fix. It also credits this work toward your weekly Quadriceps volume on the MyoMap heatmap. New to the movement? Start with picking a working weight and progressive overload.
