Body Saw
Also known as: Body Saw Plank, Plank Body Saw, Plank Saw
Body Saw is a compound strength exercise using body only that trains the abdominals.
StrengthBody OnlyIntermediateCompound
Primary muscles: Abdominals
Secondary muscles: Shoulders
How to do it
- Set up in a forearm plank with your elbows under your shoulders and your feet together, ideally on sliders or a towel on a smooth floor.
- Brace your abs and squeeze your glutes so your body forms a straight line.
- Push your body backward from your forearms so your elbows move ahead of your shoulders, without letting your hips sag.
- Pull back to the starting plank and repeat, keeping each rep slow and controlled.
