Primary muscles: Abdominals

Secondary muscles: Lower Back

How to do it

  1. Sit upright in the rotary torso machine and secure your legs and torso against the pads so your hips stay fixed.
  2. Set a weight you can control through a comfortable range and grip the handles.
  3. Rotate your trunk to one side by contracting your obliques, keeping the movement smooth and controlled.
  4. Pause briefly at the end of the rotation, then return to center under control.
  5. Complete the prescribed reps to one side, then reset the machine and repeat to the other side.

Track it with MyoAmigo

MyoAmigo pre-fills every set of the Rotary Torso from last time, charts your estimated 1RM trend so you can see strength move without testing a true max, and flags a stall with a concrete fix. It also credits this work toward your weekly Abdominals volume on the MyoMap heatmap. New to the movement? Start with picking a working weight and progressive overload.
